Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan will today meet with his Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi to discuss international and regional issues, including their strategies and expectations for resuming the deadlocked six-nation talks for ending North Korea's nuclear weapons programs, officials here said.

Thai authorities on Saturday searched a Georgian cargo aircraft from Pyongyang during a refueling stop at Bangkok's Don Mueang Airport and found 35 tons of North Korean weapons aboard, including missiles and explosives, and arrested five crewmembers including the pilot.

China is proposing a three-phase process for the resumption of stalled six-way talks on North Korea's nuclear proliferation.

Special Representative for North Korea Policy Ambassador Stephen W. Bosworth visited Japan Feb. 26-27 for a series of meetings with senior Japanese government officials, including Foreign Minister Katsuya Okada.
During the visit, Ambassador Bosworth told reporters that five of the participants in the Six Party Talks are prepared to move very quickly to restart the dialogue.
